Eden holds a long history with the orcas, none more unique than the working relationship that developed between the killer whales and the local Aboriginal Yuin people of the region. Over thousands of years, the whales had helped round up the Baleen whales into Twofold Bay where they could be easily hunted by the local people for food and oil. The Orcas were rewarded with the tongue of the whales, a ritual that later became known as the “law of the tongue”.
